This weekend sees the 2023 SALA festival kicking off across the state. This year’s celebration of living South Australian artists is bigger and better than ever. Interacting with good art is important. Interacting with good artists is even better. Here are three local artists, who though their work and enthusiasm have impressed, inspired, encouraged and mentored my own artistic dabbles. Judy Garrard works in all manner of media, with a variety of styles and subjects. John Lacey works in oil, primarily producing semi abstract land and seascapes.
