“I always say I believe in ghosts so I don’t haunted but one…”
Ella Henderson
Melissa and I recently went on a Iate spring walk. Our venue was the Michael Perry Reserve. It is a charming place, complete with a babbling creek, twittering birds and sleepy koalas. This botanic garden was established in the 1970s by the subdivision of historic Clifton Manor Estate. Clifton Manor was built in the 1850s by George Simmons, supervisor of the Burra Copper Mines. In 1926 the property was purchased by prominent SA surgeon, Michael Schneider. Schneider is said to still haunt the garden at night. YouTube has several videos of paranormal activities said to be related to this. Whether true or not, the issue became such a problem that in 2012 the Burnside Council passed a motion formally declaring the reserve not to be haunted and at the same time closed access after dark. #veryprettybyday #letsmakelemonade
