Map of the matrix

“Genes are the story, DNA is the language…”

Sam Kean

The highly ambitious Human Genome Project commenced in 1990. This international research collaboration, which aspired to map the entire human DNA sequence both physically and functionally, was in completed in 2013. A blueprint for life, DNA’s double-helix structure resembles a long spiral ladder. The rungs are formed by pairs of four chemical bases – adenine, guanine, cytosine and thymine. This remarkable image is from the Welcome Institute in Cambridge. In an electron micrograph of the human genome, each base has been allocated a specific colour. Red, green, blue and yellow. This truly is the pattern of life Here art is being made from the very source of our humanity. #3millionbaseseach #
