Rosso Corsa

Recently I have been seeing a lot of red Ferraris, both at the Australian Grand Prix and watching the movie biography, Ferrari. It is a great movie, but old Enzo was a complex piece of work. During the movie racing scenes I became confused. All the cars seemed to be red. How could I spot the Ferraris? It turns out that since the 1920s all Italian race cars of Alfa Romeo, Maserati, Lancia, Abarth and Ferrari were painted red. The FIA established between the wars, regulated that Italian cars would be Rosso Corsa, French cars Bleu de France, and British cars British Racing Green. By the 1960s most cars displayed sponsor company colours, but Ferrari has held on to tradition. #vamoscarlos #letsmakelemonade
