“Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability…”
Sam Keen
You can photograph, sketch and paint all year if you are keen enough. A key ingredient of your art will be the changing moods of each season. Central to this will the intensity of the light and the colours. Autumn and Spring are the easiest to step outside with your kit, everyone has good intentions then. Winter has the barrier of the cold and rain, but not every day. Summer has significant heat most days, but more importantly a sense of torpor. It is hard to keep motivated in summer. The reward of summer is the vibrancy and colour in the subject material you encounter. In July I self imposed a dally art challenge, Grey and blue were my palette. The warmer months are nearly here, I might get out the yellow, reds and greens and set myself another goal. #makemefeelfine #letsmakelemonade
