We write with joy…”
@kakimori
in 2010 a stationery shop opened in Kuramac, Tokyo. In Japan the land of stationery shops this may not seem important, but Kakimori is pretty unique and has broken considerable new ground. Their focus is on the joy of writing for pure pleasure and the how the experience can be amplified by the stationery that you use. The Japanese stationery world is full of ancient tradition, but in this shop there is also a strong embrace of innovation. To do this it produces it’s own range of paper, ink and pens. The pens are where the action is. Kakimori has been at the forefront of the recent Ink Numa movement which has swept Japan and is now worldwide. It is the pairing highly specific ink colours with highly curated glass dip pens. Kakimori has also made an impact with the release of felt tip and fine liner pens that can be filled with your own choice and colour of fountain ink, right from your own ink stash. They are cheap, easy to use, portable and just the thing for sketching and drawing on the run with coloured inks. #urbansketchergamechanger #letsmakelemonade
