The artist as a young surgeon

Recently this photo from the very early 2000’s was found at the SA Royal Australasian College of Surgeons office. It is a photo of the then SA Regional Committee. I look like a child, but I am probably about 35. I had just been nominated to this body, representing the cohort of younger Fellows. Since then I have never really left this committee, going on to subsequent roles as elected member, executive member, Chair, Examiner, co-opted AMA representative and currently as the Clinical Director of the SA Audit of Surgical Mortality. A career has many facets and my involvement with the RACS has always been a jewel in the crown.
