The fountain pen community has been rattled again. Surely anything new with pens has already been done. Well apparently not. At the recent Tokyo International Pen Show, local company MART broke new and instantly fertile ground. This is the MART Mascara Ink Pen. It is a dip pen with a reservoir tip that traps ink ready to be applied to paper with a rake. Vibrant marks up to 15mm wide can be made using any of your favourite inks. A quick rinse and ink colours can also be swapped effortlessly. For those that like to play with inks, it is a must have. For those like me who like to draw with inks, it is a game changer.
