Every year pen nerds wait anxiously for the release of the Pelican Edelstein ink of the year. 2025’s was just been announced, Apricot Achat. Officially it is a non shimmering, vibrant golden orange, based on Pantone 163C. It was inspired by the apricot agate gemstone. Achat is German for agate. Agate is derived from the River Achetes in Sicily, where these type of gemstones were first located. Specifically, the apricot agate is from Botswana and is not a common gem. Metaphysically it is said to offer protection, calm and balance. Pelikan says it represents vitality and optimism, and from their viewpoint, hopefully profit. #royalsocietyofpennerds #letsmakelemonade
