Mastering the daily grind

“Don’t complain about the grind, do your time…”

OJ Simpson

Pen addicts do not necessarily have neat writing, I am a perfect case in point. However, if you choose to write with a fountain pen, you are likely to be fussy about how cool your writing looks particularly your signature. Carefully curated inks will help to some extent, but to make marks with exactly the character you deserve, nib modification will eventually enter the conversation. Italic nibs are the gateway step, but inevitably you will seek something more. The will lead to the age old dilemma, do you go to the more traditional option of the Stub nib (seen right), or take up the new kid in town, the Architect nib (seen left). Unlike an italic nib, both of these nibs have had the tipping material ground mostly away, but in different orientations. The variation is in the width of the horizontal and vertical stokes. Debate about preferences in the pen community is robust. #teamarchitect #letsmakelemonade
