Well it is Easter time again. It is hard to believe that it is five years since the COVID Easter of 2020. They were strange, emotional and unsettling times. I have a powerful memory of the Easter webcast of Andrea Bocelli performing a concert in isolation from Milan Cathedral. I spent a lot of time in isolation during early 2020. My leukaemia was only a few months old, as was this blog. PenPaintandScalpel was a welcome vehicle for keeping in touch with people right across the world. Most readers are naturally from Australia, and people that I personally know, but there are plenty that I do not. The blog has increased readership each year, doubling in 2024. Of the 195 nations in the world, PenPaintandScalpel has readers in 82 of them. Most are countries that I don’t know people in , but perhaps I do now.
