The behaviour of men unsupervised by women is interesting. Melissa would probably use different words. I recently found myself with a group of Aussie male peers, that I hadn’t met before. We needed to bond a little. Male bonding can be problematic at times. Cultural, judgemental and even legal issues can arise. Our group of men choose to bond with a trip to Croatian fishing shop. Elements of our backgrounds, interests and expertise were able to be shared safely, supportively and comfortably, amongst ourselves and the shop owner who spoke no English. Our final purchases were modest, but symbolic. We ended with a unique squid lure, a handmade fishing fly, and of course a blue knife for me. All were satisfied, closer and richer for the experience. #oneeurowellspent #letsmakelemonade
