Brush pens have been a staple of Japanese calligraphy and art for centuries. The use of ornately decorated bamboo brushes and Sum-e inks ground and mixed from pigment blocks were an amazing practice, bordering on a ceremony. Unfortunately, it is has not been widely sustainable. This is a 2025 Japanese brush pen, produced by Pilot. It employs modern liquid ink technology and pen production, but is still elegantly designed and decorated. These pens are firmly targeted at the art market. This particular pen is a mid grey tone, perfect to add shadows, depth and interest to quick watercolour sketches on the go. #asmodernastomorrow #letsmakelemonade
