My extended family/virtual family group always attempts the Weekend Advertiser Brainwaves quiz, On Sunday evenings we gather in person or online, whether in Adelaide, elsewhere in Australia or even overseas. To achieve higher scores (our current best is 48/50), it is important to know that certain topics regularly appear amongst the questions. One that can trap the unwary is Australian Rivers. Things you should study up on are- which State is the river in, which is the longest, which cross borders and where the river reaches the sea. Generally you can ignore the obvious ones -Yarra, Torrens, Swan and Brisbane, you will need to focus on the 2nd and 3rd tier channels of water.
