The ink swatch personality test

“A drop of ink can make millions think…”

Lord Byron

So my Maylandia Blue Narwhal Nautilus pen has just returned from a trip to fountain pen hospital. Don’t worry it wasn’t serious, just a loose, leaking piston knob. The nice people at Pencraft in Adelaide dealt with it for free. As gesture of goodwill, I decided to buy some new ink from them. Pencraft now has a stunning shelf of glass siphons, containing a colourful range of J Herbin inks. From these you can buy ink by the millilitre, a small sample to test a new colour, or a large bottle of your favourite everyday writer. The next issue for me was what colour? Ink and pen combinations are very individual and fall into four categories. An exact colour match of pen and ink. A complimentary colour match. Always black/blue regardless of the pen. Finally we have those that just don’t care or perhaps never notice. If you are in the last category, I would seriously question if you should be allowed to own or even use a fountain pen. #matchingofcourse #letmakemonade
