You make a fine point

“The pen is the lever by which we move e the world…”

Melissa always seeks breathtaking precision in her art. My style is loose and semi abstract. Whilst I throw ink and paint around with the biggest nib or brush I can pick up, she is working with the sharpest pencils or smallest micro fine liners she can find. Ying and yang. Standard fine liner brands eg. Uniball, Copic, Sakura, routinely offer a range of tips between 1.0 -0.1mm. Usually sufficient for most mortals. When Melissa and I travel we like to seek out small art supply shops. Finding them is always an adventure and sometimes they have items we have never seen before. Recently, at a Danang art shop I found 0.05 and 0.03mm fine liners. We had heard rumours of such things, but never held them in our hands. For me such pens are a novelty, but for Melissa they are potentially game changers. A search of the interweb suggests that there is nothing finer than 0.03mm, but our quest will continue. #holygrailhunt #letsmakelemonade
