Birds of a feather

“Environmentalists changed the word jungle to rain forest, because no one would give money to save a jungle. Same with swamps and wetlands…”

George Carlin

At the corner of Hart and Rowley Roads Aldinga, is the Hart Road Wetland. Set up by the Onkaparinga council in 2013, it consists of 20 hectares of revegetated land. Birds love it. A total of 108 species have been recorded at the site (68 non passerine, 40 passerine). Passerine birds are known as perching birds, and have a three forward, one backward arrangement of their toes. My wife loves nothing more than to take her camera for a walk through these wetlands. I love nothing better than to go with her. #morebirdstopaint #letsmakelemonade
