“You cannot teach a man anything,he must discover it…”
Galileo Galilei
The Visconti Family were one of the most influential families of medieval Milan. They provided an endless stream of rulers, dukes and popes, along with wealth, corruption, violence and of course artist patronage. They are also famous for prising Leonardo da Vinci away from his beloved Tuscany. Which is why his masterpiece The Last Supper sits just outside Milan, not Florence. Visconti pens are still a major Italian brand, although ironically now based in Florence. They have iconic clips that are symbolic of the Ponte Vecchio over the river Arno. These pens are typically Italian – stylish, unique, showy and notoriously unreliable to write with. #dolcevita #letsmakelemonade
