Walking on the edge

“Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time…”

Steven Wright

Across the D’Entrecasteaux Channel from Hobart is the Island of Bruny. It has the traditional name of Lunawanna-Allonah. It’s European name comes from French explorer Antoine Bruni D’Entrecasteaux. This is an image of the extraordinary view after an extraordinary trek up to the headlands of East Cloudy Bay. This is essentially the southern most point in Australia. Straight off in the distance from here is Antarctica. A fun trivia fact is that where I took this photo is actually closer to the equator than the Antarctic shoreline.. #tasmanianwalkingcompany #thankslouieandlilly #letsmakelemonade

  1. What a great quote this is: “Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time . . . .” Maybe everything in life is like that. “If you have the time . . . .”
