A spectacle of speed

“If you no longer go for the gap you are no longer a racing driver…”

Ayrton Senna

Formula 1 refers to a set of rules that cars must conform to in the highest racing series of the Federation Internationale de L’Automobile. An FI race is better known as a Grand Prix. The F1 rules were established in1950, but the 2022 version has concessions to safety, improved overtaking, greenhouse gas emission and noise abatement. The key to these machines is the creation of downforce which gives a ridiculous level of cornering speed. The technology of this racing is closer to aviation than motoring. Each driver must hold a super license and borderline sanity. The latest race was held in Singapore. It was a night spectacle of power, speed, organization and rain. #anotherbucket list #letsmakelemonade
