We have have spoken before about wedding anniversaries. Certain milestones are well known and have obvious symbolism. Others in between are more awkward, with some odd associations. Melissa and I reached 32 years a few days ago. 32nd anniversaries are tricky. They have no official colour or flower. They do have a gemstone. Lapis lazuli is actually one that I relate to. It has a distinct blue colour and was the original pigment in the watercolour paint ultramarine. I couldn’t lay my hands on any lapis, but I did find a pretty bird cyanotype. Lapis lazuli is associated with strength, courage, wisdom and truth, which sums up my wife pretty well. #happyanniverary #letsmakelemonade
