It looks pretty swift

“ Good flying never killed an enemy. …”

Edward Mick Mannock, RAF

So I like making small scale models. You start this hobby building anything you can get your hands on. Ships, aircraft, tanks, cars, submarines, Thunderbirds, and everything in between. Mostly military, but not all. Hobbies are like surgery, you initially learn to do everything, but soon to find out what you like doing, and what you have talent for. For me this seems to be early jet fighter planes. By the late stages of WW2 every side was developing jet powered warbirds. Germany even got one in the air, but it was little more than a rocket attached to a set of wings. The 1950s was a different story right across the world. This is the Supermarine Swift, the first jet developed by the company behind the iconic Supermarine Spitfire. #fantasicshape #letsmakelemonade
