The times are a changing

“Today is national how do I change the clock on my microwave day…”

So this morning we all have to set our clocks forward. For digital natives most of this will occur magically, but not everyone is so fortunate. For those that have illogically large watch collections, or never keep the manuals for their home appliances, this is a time of special hell. Put the problem off this morning, and you risk a disaster for your future self. An oven that refuses to work, or grabbing a timepiece for your wrist with a forgotten error built in. Then there is the dyslexia screening test of whether to move the hands forwards or backwards to achieve your goal. Daylight saving was employed in Commonwealth countries in both World Wars, to save energy and fuel. The logic does seem similar to concerns about curtain fading. Australian daylight saving as we now know it, kicked off in Tasmania during 1967. NSW, Victoria, ACT and South Australia joined in during 1971. Queensland and WA have never bothered. #notomentionthecows #letsmakelemonade
