You’ll never walk alone

“…to his dog, every man is Napoleon…”

Aldous Huxley

Dogs are derived from Wolves. Being able to live on a starch rich diet, makes them more attuned to humans than their canid relatives. Dogs started to hang out in human camps due improved food availability, derived from early hunting tools and the use of fire. Humans benefited from improved sanitation (no food scraps), early warnings of threats and physical warmth – hence, a three dog night. Modern dogs have provided services such as guidance, protection, herding, detection and sled pulling. Currently, their biggest contribution to human welfare is thought to be walking. Owning a dog is linked to reduced cardiovascular disease, less Alzheimers and better mental health. #outwithscout #letsmakelemonade
