“Carnarvon …Can you see anything?
Carter …Yes, wonderful things!”
150 pieces from the over 5000 treasures discovered in the Tomb of King Tut, are currently jetting around the world. The blockbuster exhibition, King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh, is due to run 2018-23. So far it will visit LA, Paris, London and Sydney. Other cities are still scrambling for a gig. Based on numbers attending during the Paris leg, it will be the most visited touring exhibition ever. The record is held by the 1967 King Tut world tour. The exhibition marks the centenary of the tomb’s 1922 discovery, by a small boy digging with a stick. Money raised will fund a new world class antiquities gallery in Cairo. Excitingly, the anniversary will occur in Sydney. Sadly, the recent dodgy repairs on the iconic death mask mean it is too fragile to travel. #bookingticketsnow #letsmakelemonade
