The more the merrier

‘None of us have as many virtues as the fountain pen…”

Japan is very much the epicentre of fountain pen weirdness. The ability to create unique line styles is the focus of many of their pen manufacturers. The legendary Mr Nagahara was a nib specialist at the Sailor Pen Company. Several decades ago he began to experiment with nibs designed for Asian calligraphy. Rather than just shape, bend or grind the nibs, he decided to stack nibs together to produce the desired effects. These nibs are very special to write with, but more appealing to me are their cool names. Cross Conchord, King Eagle and of course the King Cobra. Since the passing of Mr Nagahara the nibs are very hard to come by, unless you fancy welding the nibs together yourself. #snakepennib #letsmakelemonade
