HRH Prince of Wales
So what happens when you have your perfect job all lined up, but you have to wait more than 70 years for a vacancy. Well you need a good hobby. This is a watercolour painting by Prince Charles. His late father was a keen and accomplished (what does that actually mean?) artist. Prince Phillip favoured oils, still life and portraits. Charles is more an outdoor man of action. He paints with watercolours, en plein air. Basically, an urban sketcher with teams of minders and bodyguards. The Prince of Wales is quite prolific. A significant exhibition of his work has just opened at the Chelsea Barracks in London. He donates most of his art to be auctioned by the charities under his patronage. In that respect at least, he is a man after my own heart. #watercolourmen #letsmakelemonade
