An ink of pedigree

“Never pick a fight with people who order ink by the barrel…”

Mark Twain

Chivor is a town in Columbia. It is essentially a mining town and what it produces are some the largest and finest emeralds known. This special ink is called Emeraude de Chivor. The spelling is French as the ink is manufactured by J Herbin. Jacques Herbin was a sailor and learnt the secrets of ink production during his travels to India. He returned to Paris in 1670 and founded an ink and sealing wax business . Over 300 years later and the company still thrives. Emeraude de Chivor is a highly desired ink and has recently seduced me. It is a deep vibrant blue green, with a red sheen and gold particulate shimmer. #stillgoingstrong #letsmakelemonade
