For my 17th birthday I received the gift of a Braun electric shaver. It was a present from my exotic godparents – they traveled overseas. This cool, iconic and highly functional object was developed by the industrial designer Dieter Rams. He is famous his now celebrated 10 principles of good design. Is it innovative? Is it useful? Is it aesthetic? Is it understandable? Is it unobtrusive? Is it honest? Is it long lasting? Is it thorough to the last detail? Is it friendly to the environment? Is it as little design as possible? It is interesting that these concepts can be applied to most aspects of our lives. #stillhaveitsomewhere #letsmakelemonade
