A wise individual told me that everyone should have 5 hobbies or interests that are not their vocation. Busy, high profile people probably need them even more. One of the world’s most successful singer/songwriter/muscians is American Neil Young. He also has a major interest in collecting, restoring and displaying Lionel Model Trains. Young is really into this hobby. He has personally created what is considered the finest outdoor O gauge railway on his Northern Californian ranch. Encompassing 1000 square feet, it includes natural lanscapes and vintage trains, including this Lionel No752w Union Pacific steam engine from the 1930s. A single trip on this track takes 10 mins. In order to enhance the experience for his quadraplegic son, Young invented a system to control speed, engine load, turntables, signals, smoke, sound and lighting with a single mouthpiece.
