Mesothelial cells form a monolayer of adherent specialized pavement-like cells that line the body’s serous cavities and internal organs. Their primary function is to provide a slippery non-adherent and protective surface. Sadly certain drugs, such as those used to tame rowdy myeloid white blood cells, can have an effect on the bonding or adherence of adjacent mesothelial cells. The lining of organs can become porous and leaky. Due to these interactions, for the time being I have become a full time blogger and artist. #frustratedsurgeon #letsmakelemonade
