A tale of two pens

“I may be a twin, but I am one of a kind…”

Jerry Smith

So here we have in no particular order, a Chinese Jinhao 194 and a German Mont Blanc 149. See what they did there. I am the lucky owner of both these fountain pens. One is made of precious resin, the other acrylic. Both are fine nibs. One has a 14K gold nib, the other is gold plated steel. Both hold 2ml of ink, but one is a cartridge converter, the other is a piston filler. One has rhodium furniture, the other has gold. One cost 200 times more than the other. Both are in my daily work pen rotation. In fact the biggest difference for me between the two pens is how much a better writer the Jinhao seems. #samesame #letsmakelemonade
