We all enter raffles with a mixed sense of hope, charity, guilt, obligation, awkwardness and eventually disappointment. You know what I mean, hearing the “winner is an orange ticket…” when your handful are all blue. Well not any more for me, I finally had success.To be exact, I won the door prize at the recent Pencraft hosted 2026 Pelikan Fountain Pen Hub. Pelikan Hubs have been the subject of a prior blog, in summary they are the highlight of the fountain pen nerd year. My prize was the much envied Leuchturm 1917 Bullet Journal and the matching pen designed specially for the hobby, the Drehgriffel No. 1 gel twist pen. I know right. Bullet Journaling, referred to by cool people as BuJo, is an analog paper based personal organisation system created by designer Ryder Carroll. It combines a to do list, diary, planner and sketchbook into a single notebook. My new prize will allow me to index, future log, monthly log, daily log and rapid log, using dots, circles, dashes and directional migrations.I won’t know myself. #nerdheaven #letsmakelmonade
