Two out of three ain’t bad

“Dinosaurs may be extinct from the face of the planet, but are alive and well in our imagination…”

Steve Miller

My wife and I were on a drive North. We stopped over at the Redbanks Conservation Park, near Burra. This area is known for it’s bird life and being an important site for Diprotodon fossils. These massive creatures lived 1.6 million years ago in the Pleistocene epoch. They are the largest marsupials to have lived. We came here with three goals. Photograph a Rainbow Bee Eater, see a Diprotodon and avoid encountering a snake. On a technicality we were successful. The large red kangaroo is a descendant of the ancient Diprotodon. #happybirdphotographer #letsmakelemonade
