“If a train doesn’t stop at your station, then it’s not your train…”
Marianne Williamson
If you have ever been a traveller in New York, you might have experienced Grand Central Station. If you have then the massive ceiling of the terminus is unforgettable, with it’s depiction of the constellations of the night sky. It is worth the vist even if you don’t require a train. It is one of the largest pieces of public art from the last 150 years. Well New York has done it again. Underneath Grand Central Station is the newly completed Grand Central Madison. Essentially an additional station on the same site. The new space has continued the tradition of large scale public art. Shown here are a couple of panels from the largest ever commissioned glass mosaic murals. A total of five massive floor to ceiling pieces have been created by Kiki Smith and Yahoo Kusma. I think they look stunning. #cantwaittovisit #letsmakelemonade
