So to the delight of all, the Sturt Football Club have started the 2023 season with 6 straight victories. This appears to be a record for the club. Even in our run of five consecutive premierships 1966-1970, we never started so well. In the infamous 1978 season we only loss one minor round game, but that was in round 6. It is painfully important to remember that in the 1978 GF Sturt lost by a point after leading by 6 goals at 3/4 time. That loss bought the club to its knees and on the brink of collapse for several decades. Let’s hope we can push all the way this year. #dontcountyourchickens #letsmakelemonade
