“Blood is life…”
Bram Stoker
Pennonia is a boutique ink maker which strongly identifies with the Hungarian culture of it’s owners. Ironically, it is physically located in the Romanian town of Carei. They offer over 47 individual inks and Csillam (liquid shimmer ink additives) in 16 separate colours. That means you can create 752 possible ink combinations. Some of their ink offerings are very unusual. A good example is this ink, Draculea. It has a medium red base, combined with grey-black particulate pigment. On the page it is a charcoal/orange/red with yellow/grey/green sheen. It was been specifically formulated to simulate the appearance of dried blood. The heavy pigment load minimises the risk of bleeding and feathering, with excellent water resistance. Like dried blood, it is very difficult to clean out of a fountain pen. #huntitdown #letsmakelemonade
